Live Updates for Sunday's Softball Games

First pitch is at 12 p.m.

First pitch is set for 12 p.m. on Sunday.

10:30 a.m.
Both teams have arrived at the field and are prepping for warmups. The marketing staff has done a great job setting up for the game despite the wind and the rain that the area received over night. The Sports Information staff is set up under a tent with a garbage bag around the computer to prevent dust from blowing all over the computer.

Mike Lacey, a marketing intern, is getting ready to turn on the music for warmups. The sun is starting to show but the wind is blowing real hard.

10:53 a.m.

Both teams are taking batting practice on fields next to the game field. The umpires have arrived and are in changing for the game. The wind continues to blow.

11:34 a.m.

The umpires are having their coaches meeting and the starting lineups are underway.

12:25 p.m.
After the first inning, ISU leads Portland State 2-0. The two runs came on one hit, which was a Terah Blackwell double. There were three walks and Erin Olander was hit by a pitch.

12:42 p.m.
After two innings Portland State has taken a 4-2 lead. All four Viking runs were scored with two outs.

1:15 p.m.
Portland State leads 12-2 going into the fourth inning.

1:39 P.M.
Portland State wins the first game 12-2 in five innings.

Game 2 is underway. We just had the first pitch.

2:28 p.m.
The first inning just ended and Portland State scored two runs to take a 2-0 lead. There is a nice crowd of 150 people in attendance. The sun is starting to show but the wind is still blowing pretty hard.

2:51 p.m.
The Vikings scored two more runs to lead 4-0 after the second inning. Courtney Dial is about to lead off the third inning.

3 p.m.
Portland State retired the side in the top of third inning. Norrie is set to lead off for the Vikings in the bottom of the third.

3:20 p.m.
The Bengals scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning to cut the Viking lead to 4-3. Amanda Fitzsimmons, Jessica Baca and Brittany Olsin all came up with big hits to lead the way.

3:26 p.m.
We are headed to the fifth inning with the Vikings leading ISU 4-3.

3:30 p.m.

We are headed to the bottom of the fifth inning with the score still 4-3.

3:44 p.m.

We are headed to the top of the sixth inning with the Vikings leading 6-3. Kanis Clesson came in to end the inning with a strikeout. Marketing reps are throwing T-Shirts to fans for every strikeout.

3:56 p.m.
ISU scored two runs to come within a run at 6-5 going into the bottom of the sixth. Amanda Fitzsimmons had an RBI single in the inning.

4:15 P.M.
