Josh Alford brings a homegrown perspective to the Idaho State coaching staff, stepping into the corners room after a standout five-year playing career at cornerback for the Bengals. Alford now works alongside corners coach Devin Holiday, developing the same position group he once anchored on the field.

A native of the Los Angeles area and a St. John Bosco High School alum, Alford played in 50 career games for Idaho State, finishing with 169 total tackles (111 unassisted, 58 assisted), 31 pass breakups, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He capped his career in 2024 as a team captain, starting all 12 games and racking up 26 tackles and five pass breakups from the corner spot.
