Jarrett Meeker was promoted to the Idaho State Bengals' Chief of Staff in the 2025 season.
An Ohio native, Meeker began his coaching career while still an undergraduate at Bluffton University. Extremely tech-savvy, Meeker was instrumental in hiring and training the Bluffton film staff — a skill set that has proven valuable throughout his career — while also uploading and intercutting film, monitoring on-field substitutions, and leading recruiting tours of campus.
After graduating in 2021, Meeker was elevated by his alma mater to a Graduate Assistant position focused on tight ends, helping two freshmen develop into starters. He helped manage the equipment room, implemented tight end individual drills, and recruited the Central Michigan and Northwest Ohio areas, all while ascending to JV head coach and running the defensive and special teams scout units. He is also well-versed in the Academic Index, the standard deviation-based evaluation process used by Ivy League institutions.
That familiarity served him well when he arrived in Western New York before fall camp in 2022, joining Ivy League affiliate Cornell as an offensive analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach. He was part of a staff that produced the Big Red's best on-field record in a decade, assisting with offensive game planning and opponent scouting reports while overseeing scout team responsibilities and aiding official visits and on-campus recruiting.
Meeker joined Idaho State in the spring of 2023 as Video Coordinator, overseeing the Bengals' XOS Thunder Cloud technological operations and coordinating the filming of practices and games. He worked closely with the offensive line and helped identify opponent stunts and pressures from the press box, while also playing a key role in camps and clinics. In 2024, Meeker was promoted to Chief of Staff, a role in which he now oversees the day-to-day operations of the football office — coordinating scheduling and communications on behalf of Coach Hawkins, managing administrative support for the assistant coaching staff, and helping guide the program's broader strategic planning.
