Pocatello, ID - Head Soccer Coach Allison Gibson welcomes the hire of Stephanie Beall as her new assistant coach in charge of goalkeepers for the 2010 season. Beall, who is lovingly called Kramer by Gibson because of her "wild" hair, will be replacing Idaho State's part-time assistant coach Shannon Boyle who completed her season with the Bengals at the end of 2009. "Stephanie is an outstanding addition to our coaching staff. She comes with a tremendous amount of experience within the goalkeeping department both as a coach as well as from her years as a player," said Gibson. "Her ability to draw out the best in her athletes and to help them in realizing their own personal goals is what she does best." Beall will serve primarily as the goalkeeper coach, working with ISU's two positioned keepers, as well as fulfilling various other duties including film review, film breakdown, practice breakdown, day-to-day operations and recruiting. The keeper coach is no stranger to Idaho State having helped coach at the Bengal summer soccer camps for the last three years. "My goal in life is to be a Division I head coach. It's an exciting opportunity to be here," said Beall of her hire at Idaho State. "I'm pleased to be part of a great staff and I know I will learn a lot from Allison. I hope to make a big impact on the team and help us advance to our goal of Big Sky Champions." Previously, Beall spent the last two seasons working as an assistant coach with the University of Idaho. At Idaho, she helped train goalkeepers as well help with recruiting duties, film review, film breakdown and highlight videos. She also helped plan and organize youth and High School camps. In 2009, she helped Idaho keeper Liz Boyden post an 8-8-0 record with three shutouts. Boyden also received All-Academic Honors. During her time with Idaho Beall also served as the Head Coach of the Moscow United Soccer Club for U-12 girls for the 2009 season. During the 2006 season Beall worked as a goalkeeper coach for the University of San Francisco's soccer program. Prior to the goalkeeping coach position Beall worked as a USF women's soccer camp assistant director which involved assisting the director in planning daily schedules, overseeing daily camp activities, training an advanced group session and various other administrative duties. At that time she also served as the Head Coach for the Navato Youth Soccer League for U-9 and U-10 girls. Beall collected her playing experience at San Francisco as a keeper for The Dons from 2000-04. During her career she recorded a 21-6 record including 13 shutouts. She holds the record for most minutes played in a single season as well as the most wins in a season in 2004. She was named team captain as a senior and earned the Green and Gold Club Loyalty Award. She also assisted the strength coach during her senior season. She continued her personal fitness training by working as a club manager at the Fit-Lite by 24 Hour Fitness where she did personal training and supervised general club operations. Beall later went on to work as a personal trainer for the Koi Fitness Systems providing outdoor group fitness training. She designed training sessions for individuals as well as groups of 25 people. Beall holds a National "C" License from the United States Soccer Federation. She earned a B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science from San Francisco in 2004. She went on to earn an M.S. in Leadership in Recreation and Physical Activity from Idaho in 2010. "Kramer (Beall) brings a passion for the game that follows suit of the rest of our staff and will be infectious throughout the team. Her main responsibilities will be to train our goalkeepers, but she will also help with assisting field players, recruiting, practice planning, and video. She is well trained in all of those areas and we are extremely fortunate be able to have added her to our staff." |
