Why Should You Give To The Bengal Athletic Boosters?
Pride
Southeast Idaho and Idaho State University are very special places. Southeast Idaho has some of the best fishing, skiing, and hunting in the world. Idaho State University is a great academic institution nestled in this paradise. With the successes the athletic department has had recently, such as women's basketball making two national tournament appearances in the last five years, the 2005 Big Sky Conference Indoor Men's Track Championship; the first-ever back-to-back 8-win seasons in football, the National Player of the Year in football's Jared Allen, who won the 2003 Buck Buchanan Award and earned All-NFL Rookie honors with the Kansas City Chiefs, three Big Sky soccer titles in the 2000s, plus the Freshman of the Year in both men's and women's basketball -- there is so much for Bengal fans to take pride in.
Support the Future of Young People
Money raised by the Bengal Athletic Boosters is dedicated to scholarships for our student-athletes. Many Corporate CEO's, local business leaders, politicians, and teachers are former collegiate student-athletes. A student-athlete learns invaluable lessons about lifetime management skills, leadership skills, teamwork, discipline, and much more. These young people are our future leaders and they need your support.

Good Seats to NCAA Division I Athletics
The quality of life is greatly enhanced in communities that have Division I athletic programs. The entertainment derived from the sports team is hard to beat. Whether you enjoy the excitement and camaraderie of big-time football or your children love to watch outstanding soccer, Idaho State University brings this type of entertainment to the people of Southeast Idaho. By belonging to the Bengal Athletic Boosters, you can have priority seating to exciting Division I athletic action.
Sound Business Decision
When you give to the Bengal Athletic Boosters you are supporting yourself and all of the people of Southeast Idaho. According to a study by Dr. Zelus and Dr. Walter Bulawa, the impact that Holt Arena has on the community is staggering. Between April 1997 and March 1998 it is estimated that over $9 million was spent in our community by non-local residents visiting the Arena to attend events. Of this, $6.62 million was spent during their stay, including hotel rooms, food from restaurants and grocery stores, and gasoline. People who work in these businesses in turn spent an additional $2.42 million in local sales. They purchased homes, appliances, automobiles, groceries, and other necessities or luxury items. Your gift to the Bengal Athletic Boosters helps us to maintain our sports teams and events schedules.
Ways You Can Help
Unrestricted Gifts
Membership contributions to the Bengal Athletic Boosters are considered unrestricted gifts since these funds are placed in the athletic scholarship fund and are not dedicated to a specific sport. These are the only contributions that determine seating priority at all home football and basketball games.
Restricted Gifts
Those gifts directed toward a specific sport or which are prescribed by the donor to be used for a specific purpose are considered restricted gifts. Such gifts, when added to unrestricted gifts, determine the overall membership level but do not count toward seating priorities.
Gifts in Kind
Goods and services that the Athletic Department can use during the course of the year that normally must be purchased are often as valuable as cash gifts. Examples include airplane travel, hotel rooms, office equipment, gasoline, printing services, and automobiles.
Matching Gifts
Many companies will match employee contribution. If your company has a matching gift program but does not allow their employees to receive benefits such as athletic tickets as part of their match, then you must purchase tickets separately. The total of your contribution, your company match, and the price of tickets purchased must equal your club level in order to maintain your seating priority.
Endowed Scholarships and Planned Gifts
Please contact the Bengal Athletic Boosters office for further information regarding these types of gifts at 208-282-2397, or stop by the Bengal Athletic Boosters office on the north side of Holt Arena.
