Mike Kramer has filled his final two coaching positions. Kramer has hired Rob Phenicie to coach the wide receivers and David Fiefia to coach the tight ends and running backs.
Phenicie spent the last five years at UNLV where he was the offensive coordinator for two years, quarterbacks coach for three and he spent the last two seasons coaching the tight ends. Fiefia has been a graduate assistant at Utah State for the last three seasons working with offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven and the Aggie running backs.
Phenicie is no stranger to the Big Sky Conference. Prior to going to UNLV he worked as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Montana from 2003-09 and from 2000-02 he was the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Wyoming before being named Co-offensive coordinator for one season.
Phenicie coached the quarterbacks and wide receivers at Cal State Northrdige from 1997-98 and at L.A. Valley from 1992-96. Phenicie and his wife Jennifer have one daughter.
Fiefia was a four-year letterwinner as a running back at Utah State from 2000-03. He earned first-team all-Sun Belt in 2003 as an all-purpose player and second-team as a running back. Fiefia finished his career rushing for 1,193 yards and nine touchdowns. He caught 80 passes for 707 yards and two touchdowns.
Fiefia graduated from Utah State in 2003 with a degree in marketing. He is a native of West Valley, Utah. He and his wife Celestia have six children.
