POCATELLO, Idaho- For the second straight year
Austin Graves and
Cody Sorensen have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District first-team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The two now advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot.
Sorensen and Graves have not only been stellar in the classroom but they have been leaders on the field for the Bengal defense. Â Sorensen is fourth on the team in tackles with 63. He has one sack and two interceptions while maintaining a 3.83 grade point average in mechanical engineering.
Graves is fifth on the team in tackles with 51 but he has 9.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He boasts a 3.95 GPA and is majoring in philosophy. Graves was also a semi-finalist for the Campbell Trophy.
 To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
