POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State men's basketball coach
Bill Evans has announced the signing of Ali Faruqbey. Faruqbey is a sophomore this year at Arizona Western College where he led his team to a Region I championship as a freshman.
Faruqbey led the Matadors by scoring 16.3 points per game in his freshman season.
As a freshman the Chicago native shot 38.6% from the three-point line while also shooting 45.9% from the field. The 6-2, 175 pound shooting guard averaged four rebounds a game.
"We are excited to have Ali join our program next year," Evans said. "He is a guard with great ability. He is a tough competitor and an excellent student who will fit in great in our program. We are excited that he will be a Bengal."
