BENGAL OVERVIEWThe Bengals hit the road for the NCAA Mountain Regional Cross Country Championships Friday, November 14 in Albuquerque, N.M. The meet is set to begin with the women's 6-kilometer race at 12:00 p.m. (MST) and the men's 10-kilometer race at 1 p.m. (MST).
BENGAL LEADERSThe women finished fifth overall at the Big Sky Conference Championships with 158 total points and a combined top-five time of 1:30:24.7. The men finished ninth overall with 244 points and a combined top-five time of 2:11:46.0.
Senior
Kylie Hutchison led the Bengal women with a 5k time of 17:31.9 and was named All-Conference with her eighth place finish.
Sophomore
Ty James led the Bengal men in 19th with an 8k time of 25:11.1.
BENGAL WOMEN TO WATCHKatie Nicholls followed Hutchison in 19th with a 5k time of 17:49.8,
Presli Hutchison finished 32nd (18:08.3) and
Audrey Urlacher placed 45th with a time of 18:20.5.
Sasha Kent wrapped up scoring in 54th with 18:34.2
BENGAL MEN TO WATCHJacob Campbell finished behind James with a 38th place finish and time of 26:00.7,
Tucker Boyd finished 53rd (26:30.8) and
Kyle DeGraaff finished with an 8k time of 26:56.1.
Oliver Gunther finished with an 8k time of 27:07.3.
2013 NCAA REGIONAL RESULTSLast year Colorado topped the women's side with 29 points.
Sasha Kent finished 58th with a time of 21:54.00. Coming in third for the Bengals and 98th overall was
Katie Nicholls with a time of 22:33.90,
Abigail Ashbee-Simmonds was 116th with 23:16.30 and
Korbin Traughber wrapped up scoring with a 122nd place finish and time of 23:39.00.
Angela McGraw also competed for Idaho State.
Big Sky opponent Northern Arizona won the men's side with 61 points.
Ty James placed 81st with a time of 31:56.20.
Jake Meeker was 91st with 32:31.40,
Jacob Campbell was 93rd with 32:36.30 and
KC Hunsicker wrapped up scoring with a 95th place time of 32:38.90.
