BENGAL OVERVIEWFollowing a bye-week, the Idaho State men's and women's cross country team travels to Cedar City, Utah Friday, October 10 to compete in the Color Country Invitational. The meet begins at 11 a.m.
BENGAL LEADERSOn the women's side senior
Katie Nicholls finished first with a 4k time of 15:34.90 at the Idaho State Open held Saturday, September 20 at Centennial Course. As a team, the women placed first with an overall score of 19 points.
Sophomore,
Ty James finished first for the Bengal men with a 6k time of 19:24.84. The men's team placed first with an overall score of 22.
BENGAL WOMEN TO WATCHAudrey Urlacher finished behind Nicholls with a second place finish (15:46.00) and
Sasha Kent finished third with a 4k time of 15:59.00.
Carly Hansen scored for the Bengals with a fifth place finish and time of 16:15.00 and
Quincy Van Orden finished with a time of 16:37.00.
BENGAL MEN TO WATCHJacob Campbell followed James with a third place finish and time of 19:49.81 and
Andrew Kaler finished fifth with a time of 20:01.62.
Tucker Boyd finished sixth with a 6k time of 20:14.12 and
Kyle DeGraaff finished seventh (20:18.74).
2013 COLOR COUNTRY RESULTS Â
Katie Nicholls placed third with a 5k time of 15:20.70. Also in the top-10 was a seventh-place
Sasha Kent with a time of 15:36.80.
Abigail Ashbee-Simmonds finished 12th with a time of 15:48.60 and
Carly Hansen wrapped up scoring in 15th with 16:02.40.The Bengal women tied for first-place with Utah Valley University with 28 points.
KC Hunsicker led the Bengal men in 19th place with a 6K time of 20:18.90.
Ty James finished 31st with a time of 20:45.20.
Andrew Kaler wrapped up scoring in 34th with 20:51.70. The men finished second with 55 points. Utah Valley won with 15 points.
