POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball program has added to its recruiting class for the upcoming season by signing Jeffrey Solarin, a 6-4 guard from Northwest College in Powell, Wyo.
Solarin played two years at Northwest, earned All-American honors as a sophomore this past season and was first-team All-Region 9. As a freshman he also earned all-region while scoring 15.1 points and averaging 8.9 rebounds a game.
In his sophomore season he scored 16.6 points a game and averaging 8.9 rebounds overall and 10.7 rebounds in conference. He scored in double figures in all but three games while leading his team to a 22-11 record.
Solarin shot .615 percent from the field this year and .634 percent as a freshman. He prepped at Rangeview High School in Colorado where he led the state in rebounding as a senior.
“We are excited to have Jeff in our program,” Idaho State coach
Bill Evans said. “He is really productive rebounding and scoring the basketball. He is a tremendous kid and we are looking forward to having him in our program.”
