Taison Manu was named to the College Sports Journal Freshman All-American team. He was one of 10 Big Sky Players and one of four safeties named to the 63 man team. This is the only freshmen All-American team in the FCS.
Manu finished his freshman season with 77 tackles, tied for second on the team. He had 4.5 tackles for loss and one pass break up. He had five games with 10 tackles or more including a career-best 14 at Montana. He had three tackles for loss vs. Sacramento State.
Manu also earned honorable mention all-conference honors in 2012.
