POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State Athletics has announced a majority of its 2013 football schedule, a nonconference game at Utah in 2014 and the dates for future conference games in 2014 and 2015. Idaho State will play six home games and six road games for the 2013 season.
Idaho State opens the year at home vs. Dixie State on Sept. 7 and hosts Western State on Sept. 14. This will be the first meeting between the Bengals and Dixie State while ISU owns a 19-7-1 record against Western State, most recently winning 44-7 in 2011 at Holt Arena. The Bengals then travel to Washington for a Sept. 21 contest in Seattle and open Big Sky Conference play on Sept. 28 at UC Davis.
The first Big Sky Conference home game is Oct. 5 vs. North Dakota on Homecoming. ISU hosts Northern Colorado on Oct. 12 before traveling to Northern Arizona on Oct. 19 and SUU on Oct. 26. The Bengals final two home games are Nov. 2 vs. Eastern Washington and Nov. 9 vs. Portland State. ISU closes out the season on Nov. 23 at Weber State.
There is still one road game in 2013 that will be announced at a later date.
Idaho State opens the 2014 season at Utah on Thursday, August 28.
