EL PASO, Texas – Senior outside hitter
Breanne Van Every earned all-tournament honors at the El Paso Sports Commission Invitational hosted by UTEP this past weekend.
In the tournament, ISU defeated UTEP 3-0 and fell to Arizona State (3-2) and Fresno State (3-0). Van Every led the Bengals, averaging 3.09 kills per set and 3.55 digs per set. She also tallied two service aces, three blocks and four assists.
This is the first all-tournament honor for Van Every this season. In 2011, Van Every was named to the all-tournament teams for the Utah State Tournament and UniWyo Cowgirl Classic.
Van Every and the rest of the Bengals take on Portland, UNLV and Tennessee State at the University of Portland Tournament in Portland, Ore., Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
