OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference has announced that
Rachel Strawn has been named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week following her performances against North Dakota State and New Mexico State at the Holiday Inn Classic in Boise, Idaho over the weekend.
Strawn scored three goals over the span of the two games including an overtime game-winner against North Dakota State on Friday. She scored her third goal of the season in a 2-0 victory over New Mexico State Sunday. Her performances helped lead ISU to a 2-0-0 start to the 2012 season.
In addition to being named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, Strawn has also been named
College Sports Madness Big Sky Player of the Week as well as being named to

“I am so happy and proud to see Rachel reaping the benefits of all the hard work she put in over the past summer,” ISU Head Coach
Allison Gibson said. “Rachel has come into this season knowing that it would be her last at ISU and knowing that she really wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity. I think she has gained a lot of confidence after these two games and hopefully she can carry that into the oncoming weeks.”
