NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA announced Thursday that both the men's and women's Idaho State track and field programs have been named 2012 USTFCCCA Division I Track and Field All-Academic Teams.
The women maintained a 3.32 GPA throughout the spring 2012 semester while the men maintained a 3.30 GPA.
Five institutions from the Big Sky Conference, including Idaho State, earned all-academic honors. ISU's men led the conference with a cumulative 3.30 GPA. Eastern Washington had the second highest (3.12) while Montana State, Northern Arizona and Weber State all recorded a 3.10 GPA.
On the women's side, Weber State led with a 3.52 GPA and was followed by Idaho State (3.32), Northern Arizona (3.23), Eastern Washington (3.22) and Montana State (3.21).
A total of 171 female institutions and 85 male institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better.
