PARK CITY, Utah- The preseason accolades continue to pour in for Rodrick Rumble. The senior wide receiver was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team as voted upon by select media and sports information directors in the Big Sky Conference. The team was announced on the first-day of the Big Sky Conference Summer Kickoff that is being held in Park City, Utah.

This is Rumble's first preseason all-conference award of his career and he has already been named to the Walter Payton Award Watch List. He also garnered Preseason All-American honors by the Sports Network.

The Oak Harbor, Wash., native finished the 2011 season with the second most receiving yards in Idaho State history with 1,348 and set the ISU and Big Sky Conference single season record for receptions with 112 during the 2011 season. The 6-2, 201-pound wide receiver is tied for sixth all-time in single season receiving touchdowns with nine and had a season-high 14 receptions on two separate occasions during the season, once against Northern Colorado and again against Weber State. The 14 single-game reception performance is third all-time in program history. Against Washington State, Rumble recorded 218 receiving yards, the third best in ISU history.

Rumbles accolades for the 2011 season included being named first-team all-conference as well as earning College Sports Madness, Phil Steele, The Sports Network and the Associated Press All-American honors.

For his career, the Bengal receiver has caught 149 passes for 1,857 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 149 receptions ranks seventh on the career top 10 list with the 1,857 receiving yards ranks ninth.

Montana State senior linebacker Jody Owens, from Mesquite, Texas, was named the preseason Defensive MVP.  Senior quarterback Brad Sorensen from league-newcomer Southern Utah was tabbed as the preseason Offensive MVP.

All 13 Big Sky Conference teams placed at least one player on the squad. Eastern Washington, the 2010 Division I National Champion, and league newcomer UC Davis each placed four on the squad. Portland State and Southern Utah each saw three of its student-athletes honored.

Eleven of the 31 players on the squad were named to the All-Big Sky First Team in 2011. Four more players were All-Great West First Team Selections in 2011.
