Bill Evans has announced another signee for the 2012 season. Ayibakuro Preh is a 6-9, 218-pound center from Miles Community College in Mile City, Mont. Preh is originally from Kano, Nigeria and his parents are Tari and Bolaji Preh.
"We are excited to have Preh in our program,” Evans said. “His best days of basketball are ahead of him. He can really help us at the defensive end and we look for him to also help us offensively. He is an outstanding student who plans to major in engineering."
At his previous college, Preh averaged 6.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 25.3 minutes a game. He played in 33 games and started in 28. He shot 53 percent from the field and had a total of 93 blocks. His team went 26-7 overall and 11-3 in conference play.
As a freshman, Preh played in 22 games and started in three. He shot 62 percent from the field and averaged 5.86 points and 5.36 rebounds a game. Preh ended up with a total of 34 blocks his freshmen year.
Preh was fourth in the region in rebounding as a sophomore and second in the region in blocked shots with 2.8.
