Christoph Lange Named Bengal Athlete of the Week

Lange won the decathlon at the CSUN Multi-Event Invitational

POCATELLO, Idaho -
Freshman Christoph Lange was named Bengal Athlete of the Week after winning the men's decathlon at the CSUN Multi-Event Invitational. Lange scored 6,688 points to beat teammate Logan Henderson's 6,597 points.

Lange's campaign included a second-place finish in the men's javelin with a distance of 50.93m and third place finishes in the 110m hurdles (15.71) and long jump (6.53m).

Lange led the Bengal men in the multi-events at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships with his fourth place finish in the heptathlon. He scored a career best 5,082 points. His run was highlighted by third place finishes in the 1000m run and 60m hurdles.

This is Lange's first Bengal Athlete of the Week honor.

Lange and the Bengals will be back in action for the Idaho Cup hosted by Boise State on March 30-31 in Nampa, Idaho.
