Five Athletes Qualify for Big Sky Championships on First Day of Jackson's Invitational

NAMPA, Idaho –
Junior Bryce Jenkins led the Bengal men at the Jackson's Invitational hosted by Boise State University today in Nampa, Idaho. Jenkins placed first in the men's 5000m with a time of 10:18.45, a Big Sky qualifying time. Jenkins is one of five Bengal athletes meeting Big Sky standards during the first day of competition.

Sophomore Caitlin Maulin led the Idaho State women on the first day of competition. Maulin placed second in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.70m. Teammates Vannessa Bawden and Samantha Berryman also met Big Sky standards in the pole vault. They both reached a height of 3.55m.

Sophomores Hayli Worthington and Audrey Urlacher were the final two Bengals to qualify for the Big Sky Championships. Worthington qualified with a time of 25.70 in the women's 200m and placed seventh. Her time is a career best. Urlacher's time of 10:19.82 in the women's 3000m qualifies her for the 5000m at the Big Sky Championships.

The Bengals are back in action tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. for the conclusion of the Jackson's Invitational. Live results are available here.
